Creator program
Updated October 27, 2026
Make videos, streams or posts for funded traders? Your audience gets paid with nothing withheld, and most of them don't know what to set aside until a tax bill arrives. Share PayoutTax and earn $9 for every trader who subscribes through your link.
How it works
- Apply below and agree to the terms. It takes a minute.
- We approve you (usually within a few days) and email your link:
payouttax.com/r/yourcode, short enough to say out loud in a video. - Share it. Viewers get the free calculator with no sign-up and a 3-day free trial.
- Get paid monthly: $9 for each trader who pays for their first year ($19), paid on the 15th once their payment is 30 days old. For example, a trader who pays on November 10 is paid out to you on December 15.
- Track it yourself: sign in at payouttax.com with the email you applied with to see your link, referrals and earnings.
Apply
Thanks! Your application is in. Check your email for a copy of what you agreed to; we'll be in touch within a few days.
Creator Program Terms
Version 2026-10-27. This is an agreement between you and PayoutTax. You accept it by checking the box in the application and submitting it; we record the version and the time, and email you a confirmation.
1. What you earn
You earn $9 when a trader you referred makes their first paid subscription payment. A trader counts as yours when they arrive through your link (payouttax.com/r/yourcode) and subscribe within 60 days on the same browser. The first creator link a visitor used wins. Renewals, free trials and the free calculator don't earn commissions. We decide attribution from our own records.
2. When and how you're paid
A commission becomes payable 30 days after the trader's payment. We pay monthly, on the 15th, everything payable by then, by PayPal to the email you gave us or another method we agree on. You can see your referrals, pending commissions and payouts any time by signing in.
3. Refunds and chargebacks
If a referred trader's payment is refunded or disputed (a chargeback) before we pay you, that commission is cancelled. If it happens after we've paid you, the $9 is taken out of your next payout. If we win the dispute, the commission is restored. If you leave the program with a balance still owed back to us, we won't ask you to repay it unless the referral was fraudulent.
4. Your promises
- Disclose it. Say clearly that it's a paid link every time you share it, in the video itself and in the caption, not only in a list of links. For example "I earn a commission if you subscribe" or "#ad". This is what the FTC expects.
- No tax promises. PayoutTax gives planning estimates, not tax advice. Don't say it will lower anyone's taxes, file their return or replace a CPA.
- No prop firm claims. PayoutTax is independent and not affiliated with any prop firm. Don't suggest a partnership or put firm logos next to our name.
- No spam and no tricks. No posting your link in other people's comments, unsolicited DMs, fake or self-referrals, paying people to sign up, or ads that bid on the PayoutTax name.
- Follow the rules of the platforms you post on.
5. Taxes
You're an independent contractor, and your commissions are your income to report. If we pay you $2,000 or more in a calendar year, we'll ask for a Form W-9 and send you a Form 1099-NEC. We collect the W-9 privately by email, never through the website.
6. Ending or pausing
You or we can end your participation at any time by email. We may pause or end a link if these terms are broken. Valid commissions you earned before then are still paid on the next payout date, unless they came from fraud or a broken term.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change affects what or when you're paid, we'll email you at least 14 days before it applies. Commissions already earned are paid under the terms in place when they were earned.
8. The rest
This doesn't make you our employee, partner or agent, and it isn't exclusive. Commissions are the only payment for your participation. The PayoutTax Terms of Service also apply, including governing law (Illinois) and how disputes are handled.
